Callover information

QCAT commences on 1 December 2009. In the first two weeks of operation QCAT will hold callovers for some matters pending in selected amalgamating tribunals.

The callover allows the tribunal to hear from the parties involved in a matter about the stage it has reached. The tribunal will then provide instructions to progress the matter or set it down for hearing. The callover is an opportunity for you to have a say about the current status of your matter, the proposed dates for the final hearing and what steps are needed to prepare for the final hearing.

The following callover dates have been scheduled:

 2 December  Veterinary Tribunal
Commercial and Consumer Tribunal - callover 1
 3 December  Legal Practice Tribunal
 4 December  Health Practitioners Tribunal
   Nurses Tribunal
Commercial and Consumer Tribunal - callover 2
 7 December  Anti-Discrimination Tribunal
 8 December  Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal
9 December  Commercial and Consumer Tribunal – callover 3
 10 December  Fisheries Tribunal - callover 1
11 December  Retail Shop Leases Tribunal
17 December  Commercial and Consumer Tribunal – callover 4
 18 December  Fisheries Tribunal - callover 2

If you are involved in a matter included in a callover you will receive a letter from the relevant tribunal advising you of this. You do not need to attend unless you have received a letter advising you to do so.

If you are unable to attend the callover you may still provide your views in writing to the Principal Registrar, QCAT, GPO Box 1639, Brisbane 4001.

Confirmation of the callover dates, times and locations will be provided on the QCAT website from 1 December 2009.
