Urgent applications
Where situations arise which require an urgent decision QCAT may be able to:
- grant an interim order outlining the short-term decision QCAT has made, and/or
- grant a stay
- hear a matter quickly which may involve putting aside complying with any formal processes if this is necessary and does not disadvantage or cause prejudice to any party.
A stay is only granted where a person asks for a decision of a government entity to be reviewed. A stay, temporarily stops the original decision being carried out.
